I’d like to help figure this out. On which move number did it occur?

In order to diagnose what’s happening, we need to know where to look in your game. You can find the current move number by looking in the upper-left corner where the progression is indicated (in landscape for mobile users). You can also find the move number by clicking on the log and looking at the link that’s provided when it offers you the option to replay from that point. Or you can click the 'View game replay' button after the game ends and either find it in the log or walk through the replay.

Please be aware that we're not BGA employees, just gaming enthusiasts like you, so the BGA framework prevents us from analyzing games that are still in progress. If you haven’t concluded your game yet just wait until it’s over before following up. If we don’t hear back from you in the next few days, we may close out this report, but we can also reopen it when you follow up.

I believe it was move 198. It doesn't show anything on the history, but it was the beginning of month 11

Move 198 is when your opponent discarded Northeast Fundraising. I don't think this is what you're describing.

You can click the 'View game replay' button after the game ends and either find the move number in the log or walk through the replay.

I'm debugging a number of bug reports this Christmas weekend. If you'll find the move number, I'll investigate yours as well.

It happened at the same time. If you go to move 62, you'll see that I drafted card 52 in month 5, which is the card I tried to play. There is no further mention of the card, so it should have been discarded at the start of month 11 (move 198). But I played my sanctions appeal, and the card disappeared.

You're going to have to connect some dots for me. Here's what I've got:

1) The bug report is titled "Successful Sanctions Appeal", which doesn't tell me what the bug is
1a. The bug description says you're trying to play a card, but it gets discarded.
1b. You drew Successful Sanctions Appeal on move 184 and played it on move 191.

2) You said you played a card that was going to be discarded move 198.
2a. You didn't play anything on move 198. Your opponent discarded Northeast Fundraising.
2b. On move 199, you chose to discard Coach with Polynesian Roots to delay. That looks valid, though, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

3) In the latest message, you started talking about card 52, which is Sports Information Director that you drew on move 62.

I'm sure you're trying to communicate something important, but there's not enough description to connect the dots. Can you please write out what's happening so we can follow the entire sequence? What we have is disjointed and disconnected.

I've spent a good amount of time going through most of your game turn-by-turn for about a half hour now. Here's what I think you're trying to get at, but weren't saying:

1) You have card 52, Sports Information Director, that's due to be discarded automatically at the beginning of January.
2) On move 197, you're given the option to activate Successful Sanctions Appeal to play it for free
3) You tried to do so, but it got discarded instead.

Is that what you're trying to say? If so, that's a bug, but I've now exhausted the time I have available for fixing it in pursuit of piecing together what the problem is. I'll just marked this confirmed for now.

Fixed an issue where the opposite of what was requested was done. Also added a log message for when a voluntary discard occurred to match the automatic message generated, which should help make the logs clearer.
