We started a new game and after two games of being "Winter", I am now "Summer" and I realize that the order of players displayed depends on the season, so first summer, then winter.

Although this might make sense, I find it confusing while playing. I am used to having my own personal area on the left, and my player name in the top, as with the other games on BGA.

This is not a bug and it was voluntary. I'll make some changes to see if this could stay as it is now because I fear that placing current player board on the left could end up with some mistakes too.

Having the winter player's board unintuitively at the bottom (unable to see game and own board at the same time and making bad decisions accidentally due to thinking opponent's board is one's own), and cards to the right in the rows, rather than left makes this error prone when playing in turn-based and forgetting that everything is the reverse of normal for just this one game.

I kindly ask you to reconsider.

It looks like a nice game, and otherwise fine implementation, but the reversal of the layout makes me hate it.

I need you to clarify things because I don't understand everything.
Maybe an image with comments should help...

The current player board is always displayed above the opponent's, so I don't get the problem you encountered on this part.
The cards you are talking about are the recruitment line ones? For this part, yes player need to care who they are playing, and I can't give you a better answer for that.

But maybe I'm missreading?
