Totally agreed!

I think I might prefer to opt for coal first and then coins if you run out of coal but maybe that is a minority opinion? (I know coal is handy for ships and a few board spots.) But yes usually it's coins that you are using.

Perhaps if you select either coin or coal, then don't require drop and drag--just place it in the spot where you click, until you run out of coins/coal or click on something else.

Have you tried using the mobile controls? You can switch in the options menu, and you can tap to place coins like suggested.

I'm finding it very easy lately on my phone to accidentally drop random coins on the board when scrolling - anyone else having this problem?

@nandblock I've always had this issue on Android. Scrolling or zooming seems to still count as "touch" and move a tile. I don't know if there is a way to avoid that from a programming standpoint.

I tried the mobile option on the PC as was suggested above. I think that worked great for placing coins and coal but was less fun for placing the colored tiles since you had to zoom into each mat before you placed goods.

I think my ideal controls for PC might be the regular controls but then add in the option to click on a resource and place it multiple times like in the mobile controls.

I like nandblock's suggestion (place whichever of ore/money is selected). But yeah, I'm not sure if this overall suggestion would work on mobile.
