Maybe just as an option though? I like the animations :D

Or just make it faster after X cards has been chosen.
It's fine early, but annoying later.

OR maybe when only 1 or 2 players are 'alive'.

I think that the animation for picking a card and matching with others is way too slow.
It takes too long for the chosen card to move up to the display. Then there is a pause while each opponent is assessed. Instead, it should jump directly to the first opponent that matched (or to the Falling of i matched nobody)
And reduce the pauses in moving a card to the top

I disagree on this, I feel the pause is a fun suspense moment where it's like, you know what card is picked, or you've just shown the card you've picked, but you're waiting tensely to see if there are any matches or not.

However, I get that some players probably want a faster game, so the idea of making it an optional setting pleases both crowds.

make it optional or keep it as it is
