This is the second time I've accidentally done this and got stuck and cost me first or second place.

Previously discussed with developer on this bug (now moving to its own one): boardgamearena.com/bug?id=61668

I realise now why it happens, I do not realise/remember I am on my last lap. I play about 5 or so Vektorace tables at once and so do not remember what lap I'm on, kinda on autopilot doing the best move possible.

There needs to be a better escape route if you mess up and get stuck in this position (which is harder to get out of than the stuck position of going off the edge of the "table". Not sure how to do this whilst staying true to the rules.

I've got a few interface tweaks that could help.

1) indicate its the last lap to the player
2) visually show they can't use the pit lane during the last lap

For 1, you could put a sign as they pass saying last lap (this may already be a thing). Better still would be to show somewhere a constant reminder its the last lap, either on the lap number at the topor in the space on the game board, or on the finish line.

For 2, you could shade in red the pitstop when you're not allowed through it on the last go round (and could also shade in the non pitstop route when declaring boxbox, as looks like you can't do that.

Also, recommend someone (maybe I could give it a first pass?) Writes the key BGA specific instructions in the instructions page at the bottom of the table, as the pdf rules are quite in depth and hard to follow for the key info.

The other thing that is confusing is how the laps are numbered. Should it not be if you do a 3 lap race that the last, and therefore 3rd lap is denoted as 3?

I've noticed that my last lap is saying 2 and only the person who has completely finished now says 3 on their player lap number at the top.

Hi. You are not the first one telling me lap numeration is confusing and i'm starting to get why. As i originally conceived it, the number on the player board, next to the checkered flag, indicates the number of completed laps by that player. There is also a small box over the game map which tells you what is the track layout and how many laps are set for the current game.
those you made are good suggestion tho and i'm looking to implement them as soon as i have some free time to work on it. i will also change the lap numeration to indicate the current lap instead of the completed ones.

about getting stuck in front of the pit box, sadly there is no good way to make it less punishing, apart from warning the player in some way that he cannot pass by the box on his last lap. i will work on this too

i'll update this report as a suggestion and change its title to include all the suggestion you made so that people can upvote this and maybe drop some more suggestion below
