The scoring rules (official PDF and Game Help) say:
> Your final score is the total of the top cards on the five piles
Applying the rule as written, in the final situation 4-5-5-5-5-3 (cf screenshot) we would expect score of 27.
The game calculates 22 (cf screenshot).
Now, the rule doesn't seem to make much sense for Black Powder as it would penalize playing more cards.
Therefore, I suspect the scoring rule needs a rephrasing for the (unofficial?) Black Powder variant:
> Your final score is the total number of played cards.
This results in the same scores for non-Black-Powder games, and extends nicely to Black-Powder games.
With that rule, the score in the above scenario should be 27 as well (incidentally, since the top-most black card was 3).
A clearer example would be 4-5-5-5-5-2 (with black the right-most number) which yields 26 with the official rules as written, and 28 with the proposed alternative.
Either way, the 22 the game calculates seems to be wrong.
(Hypothesis: It calculates the score as usual, ignoring black, and then subtracts the number of unplayed black cards. There's no precedences for that calculation in the available rules texts; if it _is_ intended, the scoring rules for the Black Powder variant should be given accordingly.) -

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.
In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
So, if you play with 5 colors + Black (= 6 colors), you can reach -5 + (6 × 5) = 25 points and not 30
