Currently assessing this information requires player to actually do a scoring (or part of it) manually. Easily available running total would make such assesment easier (and less prone to mistakes).

Definitely not crucial, but IMO VERY useful. Such a system is implemented eg. in "Welcome to...", and is a wondeful aid (I miss it when playing actual paper version of the game ;) ).
