Not a bug. The dictionary used for the game isn't any of those linked from the log messages. You can choose the dictionary for the game when creating a table using the game options. (Merriam-Webster dictionary and others aren't an option.)

The links in the log are for informational purposes only, just in case you're curious about a word another player spells... It has no bearing on the words accepted or rejected by the game.

Also, a real English dictionary such as Merriam-Webster includes many entries which shouldn't be accepted by the game, even if we did have the ability to query Merriam-Webster (proper nouns aren't allowed for this game, for example, but they still exist in the dictionary).
