Actions after getting a lord from the board

I think there was already a glitch in a previous round when I accidentely removed the wake guard token from a lord (I don't think this should be possible? but not sure). I get a lord which let me swap a lord from my tableau. I remove the one which gave me the guard token.

I get another lord with a guard token but now the interface wants me to put both tokens down (also the token from the discarded lord) . There is only 1 lord available so we can't proceed.
